Mr. David Chandler Franks age 96 of Cottondale, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2017 in Marianna, Fl.
Mr. Franks was born in Waycross, Georgia, and has been a resident of Cottondale for 39 years coming from Miami. Mr. Franks is a veteran of WWII serving in the Navy as Chief Petty Officer. He retired from Southern Bell in 1978 after 39 years of service. He is a member of Cottondale Masonic Lodge and the Scottish Rite 32nd Degree.
Mr. Franks was preceded in death by his parents Aude C. and Tommy Franks, two brothers, and one sister.
He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Maxine C. Franks, 8 nieces and nephews.
Services for Mr. Franks will be at 10:00 A.M., Monday, September 25, 2017 in the Marianna Chapel Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the First Baptist Church of Cottondale Cemetery. Family will receive friends Sunday, September 24. 2017 in Marianna Chapel Funeral Home from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
