Ruth Elizabeth Davis, age 79, of Marianna, Florida passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2018 in Southeast Medical Center in Dothan, Alabama. She was born on April 16, 1939 in Charleston, South Carolina. Ruth’s pastimes were reading, doing yard work, painting and most especially spending time with her husband.
She is preceded in death by her parents, William Thomas Gatch and Ruth Elizabeth Lightle; and her husband Francis Gary Davis, Sr.
She is survived by her daughter Frances Gay Jenkins (Art) of Waynesboro, Georgia; sons David Thomas Davis (Chris Smock) of Sardis, Mississippi and Francis Davis, Jr. (Helen) of Marianna, Florida; sister Carolyn Daisy Mullis (Wallace T.) of Orange Beach, Alabama; six grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. in the Marianna Chapel Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Comerford Pelt Cemetery in Marianna immediately following the service. A time of visitation for family and friends will be one hour prior to the service.
