Bobbie Lowery, 86, passed away on April 23, 2017 in Marianna, FL. She was born in Dothan , Al on July 11, 1930 and grew up in Samson, AL . In 1974, the family relocated from Palm Beach County to Marianna. Bobbie was a home maker her entire life. She enjoyed reading, tending her flower beds, animals, and keeping the bird feeders filled. When the children were young she enjoyed being in the PTA at school and helping with VBS in the summer at St. John’s United Methodist Church in Boynton Beach, Fl, where she was a member. Her favorite though were babies: hers or anyones. Since she became homebound she was a follower of the Dr. Charles Stanley Ministry.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents Horace H. Franklin and Effie Mae Watford Franklin, her daughter Susan Lynn in 1979, and her husband of almost 53 years James in 2001.
She is survived by her sons: Jim (Genia) of Marianna; John (Tina) of Marianna; Steve (Sandie) of Graceville; Todd (Jennifer) of Chipley; Randy of Marianna; 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren; and her companion Mollie the cat.
Mom stated emphatically numerous times no visitation. Private graveside services will be held at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens on Friday April 28, 2017.
Special thanks to Dr. Chin and staff for great care for Mom especially the last 26 months; also to Covenant Hospice for their kindness and gentleness at the end; and most all to Jesus Christ for immeasurable mercy.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Covenant Hospice or Partners For Pets where she rescued Mollie.
