Reverend Joe Gayhart passed away on Tuesday June 6th, 2017 at the age of 61. He was born on December 10th, 1955 in Durango, Colorado. Joe moved to Marianna in 1993 where he attended Pilgrim’s Rest Assembly of God Church. He was an ordained minister for thirty plus years. Joe was a pipe liner by trade and traveled the country working and ministering.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Allen Gayhart Jr. and Margret Jane Barigar Gayhart; daughter, Linda Evelsizer. He is survived by his loving wife “Penny” Lucille Gayhart; children, Derrick Gayhart (Ali), Amanda Gayhart, and Jolene Asbury (Alvie); brother, Bronk Gayhart (Cathleen); sister Monica Cochren (Rae); three grandchildren, Amber, Bethany, and Ryder.
Funeral services for Reverend Joe will be held at Pilgrim Rest Assembly of God church on Sunday June 11th, 2017 at 3:00 with Reverend Ellis Vickery officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday June 10th, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.
